Breakout Dance Competition presents, Breakout Virtual! We are thrilled to bring our competition straight to YOUR living room! Breakout Virtual registration is open to ALL studios and will feature: TWO video submission categories (At Home/In Studio or On Stage) judges critiques, a fun & exciting virtual atmosphere, interactive awards ceremonies, master classes and so much more! WHEN & WHERE?
We have FIVE Virtual competitions scheduled in 2021! The competition will be Live Streamed for everyone to enjoy from the comfort of their home! Please visit our Tour Dates page to view all of our dates!
HOW TO REGISTER
Registration is only open to studios, we will not be accepting independents. Studio Owners, please log in to your Studio Account to view pricing & to register. If you were scheduled to attend one of our postponed events, please email us so we can transfer your routines for you!
If you do not have a Studio Account, please make a studio profile here. Once you have logged into your account, click on the Virtual Event that you would like to register for and begin entering your routine information. Please note, you will have to select between the two event categories “At Home/In Studio” or “On Stage,” depending on your videos.
VIDEO SUBMISSIONS
Studio Directors, after you have registered for the event you will receive a link for you to upload and submit your performance videos.
Please be aware of our two video submission categories, that will be judged separately:
– At Home/In Studio Videos: Performed and recorded in your studio or at home
– On Stage Videos: Performed and recorded from any past competition, recital or on stage video
RULES & JUDGING
Breakout Virtual will follow the same rules and guidelines as our Regional Competitions. Please click here to view our 2021 Rules.
Each routine will receive an adjudicated score from three qualified judges as well as critiques from each judge. To ensure fairness, we have two separate video submission categories (At Home/In Studio or On Stage.) These two categories will be judged and overalled separately.
AWARDS & RESULTS
We will Livestream Awards Ceremonies. Date & time will be dependent on the number of entries in the competition. Final schedules will be emailed to Studio Directors.
Each dancer will receive an adjudication pin for each routine. Pins will be mailed to the address provided by the studio. Overall awards will be provided to the studio, via a downloadable “Bragging Rights” social media graphic.
